Spinning Part 2 - Beyond The Basics

This class is for those of who have already learned spinning on a drop spindle or wheel and are ready to move past the basics and dig into some fibery fun!

We will be covering Plying, the use of a D.I.Y. ply-box and different techniques to help you create the yarn you want. We will also be sampling various fibers to spin (several straight from the sheep and scoured by your instructor) and covering different wool preps to spin (Spinning from the cloud, Rolags, batts) and will practice carding and combing. Knowing how to spin singles and being comfortable using your wheel or spindle is necessary to be able to participate in this class.

Spinners will go home with a variety of fiber to spin and practice with and the tools to continue their spinning journey.

This class is open to wheel or drop spindle spinners. Please let us know in the "special order instructions" what you will be spinning on, so we can prep adequate space.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
1. There is a $2 cancellation fee, and 10 days notice must be given to cancel without additional penalty. Cancellations within 10 days of the class start date are subject to a 50% charge. Cancellations made within 3 days of class are not eligible for refund.
