Knitting Socks to Fit - Toe Up

The class will meet for three consecutive weeks at the same time.

In this class, we will learn to make shorty socks from the toe up using the magic loop method. We will take measurements of our feet and work a gauge swatch. We will do some math to figure out how many stitches we need to cast on using Judy’s Magic Cast On. Once we have our numbers we will start working the sock from the toe to the cuff. We will work the heel using the short row Fish Lips Kiss pattern.

Choose to knit a standard ribbed cuff, or a low rolled cuff, for socks the way you want them.

Pre-Requisites
You need to know how to knit and purl and knit in the round. Knowledge of how to magic loop, and knowing how to increase with "kfb" (knit front and back) is recommended.

Materials Required
Copy of the Fish Lips Kiss pattern (available on Ravelry)
Approximately 100g of DK weight sock yarn and US 3 or 4 needles
Detailed Yarn /Needle Recommedations:
1 skein MadelineTosh – Tosh DK and Size US 4, 40” and DPN needles
2 skeins CoopKnits Socks Yeah! DK – and Size US 3, 40” and DPN needles
(The DPNs are used for knitting the heel.)

1. There is a $2 cancellation fee, and 5 days notice must be given to cancel without additional penalty. Cancellations within 5 days of the class start date are subject to a 50% charge. Cancellations made within 2 days of class are not eligible for refund.
