Fonty Super Tweed

Fonty, ‘la Filature de Rougnat’ is one of the last wool spinning and dyeing factories still active in France. This traditional company constitutes a treasure of local heritage and is labeled a Living Heritage Company. 

Fonty produces high-quality yarns from animal fleeces and plant fibers of natural origin. 
Fonty’s dyeing workshop creates many colors for the yarns, with particular attention to respect for the environment.

SUPER TWEED is one of Fonty's signature yarns. The fine wool provides softness and elasticity, and mohair fibre which gives a shiny appearance and bulk. SUPER TWEED is a medium twist, mid-weight, 2-ply yarn, ideal for Irish sweaters, ribs, and winter accessories.
