Crochet Portrait Ornament Class

Crochet Your Friends, Family, or Pets

Would you like a super original gift? Would you like to make a unique family portrait of your pets or family member?

Using simple crochet stitches and assembly, you will make a heart-shaped ornament with an amigurumi face and embroidered name. Each ornament will be different, using tips and techniques for customizing your pet or person. Finish each one with a hand stitched name on a white felt banner. Add a hanger and you've finished an adorable keepsake the whole family will love! These ornaments can be hung on a tree or displayed in a shadowbox!

Allison will have fur yarns, noses, and eyes, plus some back up of any skin tone yarn available for use in class.

Materials Required
Crochet Hooks in 6mm and 3.5mm (US J and E)
Tapestry Needle and Sharp Sewing Needle
One skein of Chunky/Bulky yarn (Katia Wow! Chunky, or Cascade 128) for the heart shape
Small amounts of DK/Worsted yarn for faces and hair

About Your Instructor
Allison Hoffman is a crochet artist and the designer behind Crafty Is Cool, known for her highly detailed amigurumi dolls of pop culture icons, celebrities, and TV characters. Her work has been featured in tv shows, commercials, and magazines. She’s written three books and produced licensed crochet kits for Yo Gabba Gabba, Golden Girls, Friends, and The Office. In addition to designing, she collaborates with yarn companies and teaches crochet classes. At CraftyIsCool.com, she shares patterns and tutorials, making amigurumi fun and accessible for all levels.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
1. There is a $5 cancellation fee, and 5 days notice must be given to cancel without additional penalty. Cancellations within 5 days of the class start date are subject to a 50% charge. No-Shows and cancellations made within 2 days of class are not eligible for refund.
