What's Included
Retreat at the Compass Centre
Thursday night through Sunday morning, knitters will experience the peace and tranquility of Mt Calm, Texas, at the Compass Centre. This retreat gives you the opportunity to socialize and meet other knitters, take classes with fantastic instructors, and the opportunity to make progress on your active projects without the interruptions of daily life.
The retreat includes fabulous swag, dinner Thursday evening, lunch and dinner Friday and Saturday, and brunch Sunday morning. Light breakfast options like toast and yogurt are available, but you are welcome to bring your own breakfasts, as refrigerator and freezer space is available for your use.
The Compass Centre is a lovely building that hosts retreats for crafters of all stripes. Staff keeps the property in great shape, and provides high quality meals for attendees, but it is not a hotel. Attendees will need to bring their own personal pillow and pillowcase, and will share a room with up to 3 other attendees. Each person will have their own bed that has comfortable sheets and a cozy quilt.
Your crafting space is comprised of three 3-foot tables, a cushioned office chair, and a full set of outlets to power or charge any devices that you'd like to use during your weekend. There will be ample time between classes to enjoy socializing and working on projects independently.
Lesley Anne Robinson
Lesley Anne Robinson is the knitting pattern designer behind Knit Graffiti Designs. She loves to create knitting patterns that focus on modern style with a flair for something different.
After graduating from the College for Creative Studies (located in Detroit, Michigan) with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Fiber Design in 2006, she moved to New York City, where she spent several years there working as a commercial Interior Designer for Spin Design. She started knitting in college, but in 2015 began self-publishing knitting designs.
Brioche knitting is her main passion. She fell in love with the technique and just hasn’t gotten sick of it yet. Lesley loves to teach others how to knit those beautiful brioche stitches, and spends her days swatching out new brioche stitch patterns.
Lesley is currently living in South Texas with her husband and two boys, designing in her small home studio, where she also films her online classes. You can find Lesley on Ravelry and Instagram as @knitgraffiti.

Special Guest and Dyer
Knitting new patterns is always more fun with new yarn, that's science! Attendees at Brioche Confidence Camp will be able to shop a special trunk show from Fangirl Fibers. We fell in love with Emily and her yarn last year, and we are so excited to have her with us at Camp Knit ATX.
Fangirl Fibers
My name is Emily and I’m the maker behind Fangirl Fibers, where I bring together my love of fandoms and fiber arts. I create hand-dyed yarns and fiber products inspired by the books, shows, movies, and games that I’m passionate about. Each colorway is designed to capture a feeling, character, or moment that resonates with fellow fans, turning those stories into something you can hold and create with.
I focus on small-batch, high-quality materials and put a lot of care into every step of the process. For me, Fangirl Fibers is about more than yarn—it’s about celebrating the stories we love and building a community of makers who want their projects to reflect their fandoms and creativity.
