Too Hip Knit Along

This August join Tara and Kaiwen as they knit along together the latest in Joji Locatelli's Hipster pattern series!

When Joji Locatelli published her new Hipster Top and Hip Stripes Shawl we were immediately in love! Our only problem was that we couldn't decide which we wanted to knit first. The easy solution is that we're going to cast them both on! Still governed by the limits of our time and physical abilities, we have decided on a divide and conquer approach with Tara knitting the top, and Kaiwen knitting the shawl, for a KAL that is just "Too Hip".

 

Cast on begins on August 2nd! So get your needles and gauge swatches ready!

 

Tara is going to knit the Hipster Top using Cascade Pandamonium. If you would like to join Tara and use Cascade Pandamonium here are the skein requirements per the yardages listed in the pattern.

  • 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4) skeins of Cascade Pandamonium or 292 (317, 381, 444, 482, 571, 609, 698, 749, 825) yards 266 (290, 348, 406, 440, 522, 556, 638, 684, 754) m in color 1 (shown in light gray).
  • 1 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) skeins of Cascade Pandamonium or 241 (302, 320, 368, 431, 459, 548, 586, 668, 734) yards 220, 276, 292, 336, 394, 419, 501, 535, 610, 670) m in color 2 (shown in dark gray).

Kaiwen is going to knit the Hip Stripes Shawl using Moondrake Pika Pika. If you'd like to knit this pattern with Moondrake Pika Pika you will want 2 skeins for Color 1 (the light gray) and 1 skein for Color 2 (shown in the dark gray).

  • If you are knitting with another yarn you will want 460 yards (420 m) for color 1, and 330 yards (310 m) for color 2.

Knit ATX Studio

Located on South Lamar between Menchaca Rd and Bluebonnet Ln
The address in 2001 La Casa Dr, but the parking lot is accessible from South Lamar, at the back of the property.

Studio Parking

The parking lot is accessible from South Lamar, at the back of the
property.

Turn into the parking lot of the South Lamar Park shopping
center (where Rick’s Cleaners is located) and you will find the gate
into our gravel parking lot.

Overflow parking is also available in that retail shopping center. Please don't park directly in front of the other business, save those spaces for their customers. There are additional spaces behind those businesses if needed.

There is very little street parking on La Casa, so we recommend using one of these two parking lots available to you for our classes.
