Speed Stitch Competition

Are you the quicker stitcher upper?

On Saturday, April 26th, we will be hosting our first Speed Stitching Competition. Competitors will vie to see who is the quickest stitcher in either knitting or crochet.

To compete, please select whether you would like to sign up to KNIT or CROCHET.

Knitters: Grab your worsted weight yarn (not black please) and size US 8 (5 mm) needles, circular or straight. Cast on 100 stitches and knit one row.

Crocheters: Grab your worsted weight yarn (not black please) and size US H (5 mm) hook. Start with a chain of 51 stitches and then do a row of single crochet (50 stitches).

Prep work will be verified by judges before the contest begins to ensure that everyone is on an even playing field.

All participants in the speed stitching competition will receive a Knit ATX stitch marker. The top three finishers will get a special prize and of course bragging rights.
